According to Jain et al. (2016), the organisations should ensure complete safety and security to their variousteam members. When a person feels psychologically safe among their team members, they are encouraged to try something new, innovate and take personal risks. The safe treatment of teams also respects the diversity among workforce. The team members develop a sense of respect for each other and learn to be more accepting and tolerant when the team is psychologically safe. As per Laulié and Tekleab (2016), the team members need to be treated safely so that they are free to speak their minds, display their creativity and work without fear. In certain instances, the team members fear being bullied and stay quite even when unfairly treated by their colleagues or leaders. This creates a psychological pressure on the person who carries this burden even back home. As opined by Newman, Donohue and Eva (2017), there are ways of ensuring the psychological treatment of teams at workplace. These include soft and pleasing communication style, not bossing over the team for frequent work updates, being constructive and positive while giving feedbacks, etc. The leaders have to be correct the team members but giving extremely negative feedbacks or passing harsh comments can be psychologically unsafe for the team.
