Answer

Letter to The Editor
As stated herein psychology assignment, a set of painful mental condition and physical or health reactions is considered as psychological distress. This psychological distress is generally estimated through the self-assessed measures of anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress. From many conducted surveys, it is very helpful to get a clear idea about the psychological condition of the health workers, nurses and doctors of Canadian HCW (Health Care Workers) and of the employees of Abu Dhabi Health Services. According to Alzaroonietal., (2021), mental health survey is initiated with the aim to collect the data and information regarding cross national prevalence and to identify and understand the similarities and dissimilarities of mental and behavioural disorders among people residing over different region.
This particular report is about focusing on the similarities and dissimilarities discussed through the two journal articles byAhmedetal., (2020) and Dufouretal., (2021), regarding the mental or psychological health of the doctors and health workers during the time of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 and 2020. This report or study aims to reflect the similarities and dissimilarities of psychological impacts such as depression, anxiety and other behavioural effects on the doctors, health workers and nursesand the pattern of their help seeking methods during the Corona virus outbreak. Both the journal articlesshow data and information of the psychological condition of the health care workers based on their various parameters or factors such as Covid affectedness, age, gender, nationality, marital status and many more. The article by Ahmedetal., (2020), shows that the target population for this survey were all clinical and non-clinical workers across the SEHA facilities.Similarly, according tothe journal article of Dufouretal., (2021), participant’s sample were collected from the Canadian Health Care Workers (HCW) who belongs to different sectors of social and health services such as long-term care hospitals and local community services centres.

The article by Ahmedetal., (2020), shows that there is statistically significant gender difference regarding the victim of mental disorders. It was observed that female health workers were more mentally affected by Covid crisis than their male counterparts. The considered reason is that female health care workers were implemented to the frontline duties during Covid time and they are the ones who received fewer mental supports. On the other hand, the journal article of Dufouretal., (2021) does not mention the particular factor regarding gender inequalities. According tothe journal of Alahbabi, Anidah & Al-shami, (2021), in order to collect the data and information regarding mental health condition or regarding the psychology of health workers during Covid-19 pandemic in Abu Dhabi, an online questionnaire was sent out to all the health workers of the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) over email. The journal article of Ahmedetal., (2020) covers more participants to collect more accurate data.
On the other hand, according to Munawar & Choudhry, (2021), only a sample of 373 Canadian Health Care Workers (HCW) were collected on a four-month data collection period in order to assess the symptoms of anxiety, depression and post-traumatic disorder via mobile application, which is not as detailed or accurate as mentioned in the other journal article. The journal article named, Psychological Impact of the COVID19 Pandemic on Healthcare Employees in Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) by Ahmedetal., (2020) focuses onbasic demographic questions and depression or anxiety screening scale that were consisted within the questioner. On contrast, in the article by Dufouretal., (2021), there is no such basic questionnaires. According to Bettinsolietal., (2020), the correspondent Cronbach’s statistic was applied as a measure of scale reliability for the survey mentioned in the article, Psychological Impact of the COVID19 Pandemic on Healthcare Employees in Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA). Multivariate ordinal logistic regression model was used to identify the level of depression, anxiety and stress. As stated by Aroraetal., (2020), the Cuzick’s test was also fitted to understand the trends for the occurred depression, anxiety and stress among the health care workers of Abu Dhabi who are among the age groups of 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60-69.
On contrast, in the journal article named Assessment of Psychological Distress in Health-care Workers during and after the First Wave of COVID-19: A Canadian Longitudinal Study, the collected data was evaluated through the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7, post-traumatic stress disorder checklist for Diagnostic and Statistical Manual Disorders fifth edition (PCL-5) and Patient Health Questionnaire-9. These processes are considered as more complex than the processes mentioned in the previous journal article by Ahmedetal., (2020).
However, though Ahmedetal., (2020) did not try to focus on the trajectories, but the other article carried outan effective latent class analysis with the aim to identify the trajectories.
The journal article by Ahmedetal., (2020)even shows that to provide mental and medical supports such as counsellingto the health workers at no cost, there was a helpline phone number was mentioned in Abu Dhabi. Volunteers for providing telephonic counselling are psychology graduates. On the other hand, there is no mention of such medical supports for the mental health in the journal article by Dufouretal., (2021), which lacks the taken action plans in order to mitigate depression and anxiety. Article by Ahmedetal., (2020), shows tough there is high depression and anxiety among Saudi health care workers, however, with the rapid help responses from the UAE mental healthcare supporters created a positive effect. On contrary, the article focusing on Canadian health care workers does not mention regarding the responses of mental support care givers.
As stated by Temsahetal., (2020), it was noticed that the response rates from the workers who were affected by the Covid-19 virus were higher among Abu Dhabi health care workers and among them77.4% employees were at serious level of depression, anxiety and stress. However, the article by Ahmedetal., (2020) shows that due to job dissatisfaction, long hour of hectic schedules, ages, there was a loophole in collecting data and information from the health care workers (Thomas & Barbato, (2020). Other limitations were lack of socio-economic status of the respondents and the time of data collection, that was at the peak of Covid pandemic.

On the other hand, Canadian health care workers did not respond to all the measurement points may be due to constant engagement difficulties. According to Arpacioglu, Gurler & Cakiroglu, (2021), another limitation was self-reported nature of data collection, which affects the screening measures. The lack of baseline measurement of psychological distress is another limitation. However, this article based on Canadian health workers does not mention issues generated for socio-economic conditions.

This report shows the real-time scenario of the psychological impact on health workers from Abu Dhabi and Canada and it also compare the two journal articles by Ahmedetal., (2020) and Dufouretal., (2021). Through collecting data from health workers by emails and mobile application with questionnaires and measurement points, the report showsthe level of depression, anxiety and stress among health workers. However, the major dissimilarity among the two articles is the number of data provided. Article by Ahmedetal., (2020) provides much data as compared to the article by Dufouretal., (2021).
