Uber app has been has been developed by the company in order to facilitate Uber drivers all across the world. It is one of the best business strategy of the company that has increased popularity of the company. Company is thinking to upgrade the application in accordance with the feedback provided by drivers all across the world. Following knowledge areas as mentioned in this Project Management Assignment and process groups should be adopted by Uber for development of new application.

According to PMBOK what are the 10 knowledge areas. Knowledge area can be defined as a set of processes, tool, technique and output.

Integration management- Main focus of this knowledge areas to make sure that all the processes and activities in project Management courses are integrated effectively and efficiently.

Scope management- This knowledge area helps in making short that overall objective and scope of a project under consideration is included while deciding different activities to be performed.

Stakeholder management- Satisfying needs and requirements of each stakeholders can be performed with the help of stakeholder management knowledge area.

Process groups
According to principal to of PMBOK, there are 5 process groups as discussed in this Project Management Assignment Initiation- Management of the company is required to develop initiation process document that will help forming base for different project activities. Responsibility- Generally roles and responsibilities in project management process are divided specifically to each member of the team. Honesty- honesty and integrity is oven of the most essential part of code of ethics as it helps in development of transparent and effective organizational culture. All the employees should adopt the principle of seeking the truth and speaking the truth (Gasik, 2015).

Cultural competence- All the employee in project management team should be aware about the cultural differences and respect other cultures and do not make cultural presumptions. Professional sensitivity should be maintained while dealing with employees with other culture.

Project management approaches
Sequential methodology: Sequential methodology this approach of project management is also called as waterfall methodology for traditional methodology. In this type of approach which is discussed in this business strategy of uber all the activities are done in sequential manner and moving backward in sequence is very difficult for the project management team. This type of methodology should be used only in situation where management of the company is totally aware about the needs and requirements of the project. In addition to that time and budget available with the organization should also be very high as it is very time and cost consuming process. This method is generally used when nature of a project under development is very critical for the business.

Prototype methodology: Prototype methodology is a totally different from traditional methodology.
