During this food and nutrition assignment research, it was found that Asian countries like India and China are the leaders in food production technology. These nations currently produce more food than the population requires for consumption. But low nutrition, religion, customs and affordability has resulted in large numbers of consumers failing to gain the desired nutrition even with the abundance of crops. India is among the highest populated nations yet among the most malnourished across the globe. It is due to a large proportion of the people not consuming meat products. While performing research for this nutrition assignment, it was found that many people supplement their protein intake with Soya and milk products. Certain nutritional elements like Ogema 3 are not ingested in many people's metabolisms, leading to serious health complications. With this in mind, the demand for genetically modified food crops is expected to grow. The consumer would require the nutritional elements and genetics to be structured from animal products and infused to the food crops (Carter, 2011). The Final Stage to be discussed in this food and nutrition assignment project would be the mass production and distribution of genetically modified crops. It is also the most expensive stage of the project since it requires the company to lease land from farms and contract labour and buy equipment to mass-produce the crops. The company needs to market, package and distribute the produce to the different consumer market where the consumers can access them.
