Answer

Introduction
The purpose of developing this mental health assignment is to demonstrate that why some of the aspects need to be acknowledged while providing a quality care to the patient with mental health disorders. The topics such as the importance of the goal setting in the recovery, mental health promotion and illness prevention and how the psychological and organizational barrier are affecting the nursing practice at work, will be explored in this assessment, based on the discussion topic with fellow students of the group.

Post 1: How the psychological and organizational barrier can be overcome in the mental health sector for nursing staff as it is affecting on their nursing practice?
On this mental health assignment we unearth evidence which explaines how the mental health nurses could not demonstrate their skills and knowledge after being trained in psychosocial interventions based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Mental health nurses found it very difficult to implement in practice because of the psychological and organizational barriers they experienced at work (Mathers 2010). In healthcare settings, multidisciplinary teams collaborate to deliver effective and safe care to the patients. The mental health assignment described that the psychosocial barriers overcome with the help of supportive teamwork and effective communication (Weller, Boyd & Cumin, 2014). Developing a supportive organizational culture delivers the best patient care and promotes a positive work atmosphere. The organization’s managers, stakeholders, and team leaders need to understand and identify the barrier to make positive changes in the workplace. The practical actions should be considered to overcome the organizational barriers, such as; The type of staff and the number of staff required per shift. Also, the related training, educational programs, and meetings should be organized to promote the resilience in mental health nurses ( National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence 2007). Educational materials used to prepare this mental health assignment include booklets, leaflets, brochures, journal supplements, and computer programs are often used to provide the latest information to healthcare professional for handling the challenges and updating their skills ( National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence 2007).

The lack of support from team leaders and managers in the mental health sector has resulted in poor work ethics. The stakeholders identied on this mental health assignment must consider increasing the human, financial, and infrastructure- support to provide quality patient care by overcoming the barriers (Strumpher et al. 2014).

Post 2 : Why is goal setting important in the recovery ?
Goal setting is the most crucial instrument in the recovery toolkit, especially for a people who are in the recovery from addiction and mental illness (Rass 2017). Usually, due to illness, stress, or other challenges, people often are not clear about finding the right direction. So, it is imperative to identify that 'what patient is trying to achieve? and on this mental health assignment it is identified that they are the best work for him during recovery?’

As per Susman (2017), there are some of the core areas that need an attention for personal recovery goals, such as 1) Mental health 2) Addiction 3) Physical health 4) Self-improvement 5) Spirituality 6) Personal growth 7) Relationship 8) Lifestyle choices 9) Employment 10) Community support 11) Legal issues 12) Quality of life. The sobriety, relationships, and finding some stability in life are the most common goals mention by the patients.

The role of mental health nurses and healthcare professionals is to motivate the patient; to ensure that all team members in a team are working together towards the same goals; ensure that necessary actions are not getting ignored; ensure monitoring of change to stop ineffective measures immediately (Clinical rehabilitation 2009).

This mental health assignment also identifies addiction and other related mental health issues are chronic lapsing and relapsing disorders — the combination of psychosocial and pharmacological management in the long- term are approachable management. Relapse prevention, cognitive- behavior approach is one of the strategies for reducing the probabilities of relapse (Menon & Kandasamy 2018).

Then the question arises, are they able to achieve the goals, could they develop self -confidence or they are still at risk of relapse? Are they getting enough support from their family members/ carers/ community, in their journey of recovery?

There are the number of aspects to be considered during the recovery process for a better quality of life.

Post 3 : Mental Health Promotion and Illness prevention
This mental health assignment also focuses on Mental health promotion and illness prevention strategies have been globally introduced to improve overall health and well-being. The practical implementation of mental health promotion and prevention interventions can reduce the risk factors for mental health disorders, promotes protective factor, and enhance the psychological and physical health ( Barry, Clarke & Peterson 2015). For example; Individuals living with mental health disorders ( bipolar affective disorder, schizophrenia, major depressive disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder) are at high risk of being overweight. The prevalence of overweight or obesity is allied with both treatment-related and lifestyle behavior (Verhaeghe et al.2013). The gain of weight in people with mental health disorders also depends on the level of the use of antipsychotic drugs is another major concern on this mental health assignment. Individuals with mental health disorders often have a poor dietary choice that also contributes to an increase in weight (Verhaeghe et al.2013). The mental health nurses play a vital role by promoting the weight management program through healthy eating. Physical activities and exercises should integrate into the daily routine of the individuals with mental disorders which helps in reducing the weight gain (Harrold et al.2018).

Even though, research reveals that nurse's participation in physical exercise is at the lowest level as a comparison to other occupational categories. The long shifts and rotating roster become a challenge for nurses to do physical activity for a better quality life ( Tannir et al.2017). Promotion of mental health and physical health is also very crucial for healthcare professionals to sustain good health.

As per research uncovered during the mental health assignment, promotion also helps to minimize the stigma related to mental illness and can increase the positive attitude towards mental health (Kobau et al. 2011). For example; The rural art roadshow within Australia helped to reduce stigma and promoted a positive concept of mental health in rural communities (Barnett, Deuge & Bridgman 2019).

Summary
To sum up all, sharing a knowledge, experience and ideas with the other students about mental health nursing theory is very insightful and helpful. For an instance; the setting of goals is not only important for patients but it is also useful for every human. Mental health promotion is a preventive measure for overall mental health and well- being. The mental health assignment also identifies that barrier and obstacle, are always exists as a challenge in every field of life.
