Brief description of problem and the aim of the IT project described in the information system development case study
While reviewing the project of developing information system in the company PEH, it has been understood that combination of ineffective and unfitting project management related problems is the core for lower rates of information system development in the company. The results have also outlined that funding, IT infrastructure, employees, project management, controlling and inspection were also contributing factors to the project implementation difficulties during the system development time (Lucky, Adegoke & Othman, 2014). On the other hand, it has been identified that systematic filling process was difficult to attain due to the huge level of information managed manually, which is, applying forms, cards and others. Around all data has been inputted by typing and kept in a contract filing process. The project management was facing problems, ineffective and lower level of productivity rates as an outcome of the previous manual and fundamental filing process usage. Main problems faced of the IT project development phrase could be categorized into funding, system structure, developing the prior system, capabilities, inspection and monitoring.

The main aim of this IT project mentioned in this information system development case study was to offer validation as well as more information on the core problems influencing on the process development in the company. The core informant outlined all the main problems confronted by the organization at the time of their first IS development phrase (Lucky, Adegoke & Othman, 2014). This research tries to outline the results of the field analysis and interview conducted on the problems and challenges of a system development project in the company.

It has been noticed that integrity as the bottom line of this system infrastructure has been developed as the entire database of the company is stored at a singular physical location (Agarwal & Sambamurthy, 2020). The proposed DBMS system outlined in this information system development case study will also be responsible to manage the optimum performance of enquiring functions while making sure the safety, validity and consistency of the information and LAN & WAN systems updated.

The project manager responsibilities in the project success can be categorized as per the project management stages. Detail description is listed below within this information system development case study;

Project Cost

The project cost depends on the software-hardware used and human resource to manage the data warehouse. It could be said that the cost of hardware installation would cost around $1000, software design and management would take $ 200 per computer in the organization and development per hour would be $100. Database maintenance would cost the company $150 each month. Therefore, the total cost of this project will be $7800; if we consider 20 computers and 10 hours in development.

How changing the constraints of one led to suffering of other two
From the project scope and time pointed out in the previous section of information system development case study, it could be said that changes in the scope or project scope creep will have a direct impact on the allocated time. The project manager probably needs to increase the time allocated for the completion of the project. For instance, if training for the employees has not been performed within the given time them the entire project completion time would delay (Hassan, Adeleke & DM, 2019). On the other hand, monitoring software and hardware functions could sometimes go beyond the budget, therefore scope has a direct impact on the cost factor also. In case of project time, scope and cost not always directly depend on the time; though, it could be said that proper time management is required for the objectives and responsibilities of the project manager and management team to be completed within one year as identified above.

Otherwise delay in any of the section’s management could compel the project manager and IT management team to extend the software implementation for the central database management in the company and information storing and management will also get delayed. The last factor in Triple constraint management is cost. It is necessary to assume and point out the exact costs of entire database management and software installation as per the market (Barbalho et al., 2017). There are various ways of declining the cost level by installing an effective system in the process. Generally, the project manager should try to work with the IT team for identifying what type of software and hardware will be most effective in this case and help in catering all the objectives of the organization. This way, selecting cost-effective software will help in strategic human resource management, investment in training and develop the benefits of this project.

• What are the difficulties and issues faced by the Project Manager in the context of information system development case study? Discuss.
A critical review build in this information system development case study shows that increasing IS at the company was not only and project management related problem, however, this also involves consumers' challenges where the employees (here user) keeps altering due to either retirement or transferring or other causes. The main challenges or difficulties faced by the project manager presented in this piece of information system development case study could be categorized into five parts, which are funding or budget-related issues, system infrastructure, developing prior systems, capabilities, inspection and monitoring issues.

Project quality includes both process and output measurement. Project Procurement Management

The lack of or requirement for procurement of hardware facilities pointing out how procurement management is necessary for IT and system development projects (Turner, 2016). It should be remembered that cost-effective, modified and less time-consuming procurement policies should be ensured prior project execution stage by the project manager.

• Recommendations, proposed solutions and required potential actions
The recommendation part will be based on two different needs of the company in question. The first part of information system development case study will dictate how and what centralized data management and integration solution this company should invest on. The second part will show how the project manager could work on providing better management. Details of these parts are listed below within this information system development case study;

  • NAS application for data storage centralization could be selected by the IT team in this company. This application would offer both file network (involving iSCSI) and storage that is the core difference among networks connected Storage and storage area networks (Lai & Ma, 2017). The SAN will offer mostly storage that is block-based as well as leaves all the important files system concerns on the clients’ side.
  • On the other hand, PEH should understand their requirements, possibilities and important budget. This company should focus on the skill development of current employees while NAS is more effective than iSCSI, this could be very efficient with proper training.
