Answer

1.0 Account and Findings identified in the entrepreneurship assignment
1.1 Entrepreneur’s behavioural and characteristics

The behavioural leadership and entrepreneurial characteristics of JitseGroen includes the aspect of:

  • Executional Excellence- JitseGroen is known to be a great operator in the business he adopts with a precise view of creativity and research capability (Safaei, 2017). The concerned entrepreneur ensured that Just Eat is managed with proper research and project management plan to be able to deal with the tough local competition in the UK. Jitse held effective professionalism in motivating and pushing its organisational team towards performing with zeal and excellence with the help of the self-excellence and positively motivated behaviour towards work. The operational strength of Jitse helped him to gain a global strategy teeth.
  • Strategic Clarity- The evidence of Just Eat organisation moving towards success and growth presents the clarity in the thought process of its entrepreneur towards the global strategy of the business (Phillips, 2020). Jitse instead of focusing just into the public markets worked with the strategic clarity of finding scope in the other markets such as Germany for the growth of Just Eat and raised a large round for the company. This helped Just Eat to make huge profits in the region of Germany and further stretch amongst the dozen of markets with the clarity process of global strategy worked by Jitse. Based on the views of Sulphey & Alkahtani (2017), an entrepreneur who works with specific clarity and thought process to indulge the business into global strategy is the one who succeeds to earn growth for the business. The similar is the case with the winning scenario of Just Eat with the entrepreneurial capabilities of Jitse.
  • Boundless Confidence- Groen has known to be focused highly towards using his energy and ego towards battles of business that really matters (Mathea, 2015). Groen indulged with boundless confidence in the entrepreneurial characteristics which is evident from his nature of not enjoying the second plinth and always staying at the first position. This confidence allowed Groen to obtain huge global success for Just Eat and make use of effective level of marketing techniques and unique selling proposition for the increment of the competitive advantage of Just Eat.

Based on the analysis done upon the entrepreneurial characteristics of JitseGroen it is observed that the same critically reflects the typical set of behaviour of contemporary entrepreneurial theory. This is because the behaviour of Groen towards entrepreneurship included effective level of confidence and strategic planning as well as operational capability which are also determined to be three major factors of entrepreneurial theory that defines the nature of a successful entrepreneur who works with the typical thought process in entrepreneurship (Telman, 2012). The contemporary entrepreneurial theory states that an entrepreneur always thinks of ranking at the top-most competitive level and rank first. Thus, the same can be related to the behaviour of Groen to always stand first and not second by any chance.

1.2 Business Model
In the initial stage of establishing the Just Eat organisation, it has been known that five effective Danish Entrepreneurs founded Just Eat in the year 2000 and was finally launched in the year August 2001 (Takeaway, 2021). The major idea of launching Just Eat came from the idea of providing door step service to the consumers for food delivery with the help of partnering with restaurants and food stores and receive a 10-15 per cent commission on every order delivered successfully.

The company was undertaken with technological perspectives signifying that the requirements of the establishment for Just Eat was first analysed and then the company was debuted. Furthermore, it has also been known that before entering into the UK market, the founders of Just Eat effectively involved into learning about the external market situation to ensure that the competitive forces are dealt with. The activities of Just Eat undertaken after few years of its debut in terms of expansion and increased its stake also proves that the company just did not went into being a business, but had involved a greater amount of entrepreneurial idea before starting up the same (Statista, 2021).

The present growth and success of Just Eat also makes it significant that the business organisation was formally researched with taking effective time into hands by the founders and trying to learn about all the opportunities that the business would receive with time before entering into the evaluation of idea of delivery food online (Statista, 2021). Nevertheless, the strategies Just Eat worked with from the beginning with a new motive of using technology to deliver food also signified the formal research of the company about the changing needs and behavioural pattern of the modern customers towards getting everything delivered with convenience of time and travel at their door step.
