Your company CEO has just been credibly accused of sexual harassment by two previous subordinates in his previous position as COO of another company. The stories of these accusations are gaining ‘virality’ in the media and online. The CEO adamantly denies harassing these two ex-employees; however, their stories were separately given, without knowledge of each other, and had details that were unique and consistent.

You have been asked by the company board to assess the situation and produce recommendations from a ‘key personal competencies’ leadership perspective. This report will then help the board to assess whether or not the current CEO meets these recommendations, and, if not, the report will inform the recruitment of the replacement CEO.

They should not have limits for increasing personal potential. Leaders provide a high level of commitment to their peers and team members (Ross & Cozzens, 2016, p.164). An allegation of sexual harassment has been generated against the CEO from two ex-employees in his previous company in the post of COO. Though, the CEO denied all the allegations. If the allegation is true, the leaders must learn from his mistake.

Be more self-aware: The leader and CEO of the company must be self-aware (Forthun & Freeman (2017, p.70). Leaders need to do significant aspects related to professional development goals. A good leader should possess a work-life balance for greater career success (Freberg & Kim, 2018, p.380). The CEO should have his career planning in the company. The leaders must be aware of business ethics. Having ethical leadership quality demonstrates behaviour in their actions.

Judgment based on analysis
Based on the above discussion, it can be analysed that a casual approach of the CEO is seen in his behaviour. The allegation against him was unexpected for the post of CEO. There is no particular outcome of sexual harassment. The CEO of the company must follow the right procedures to continue the business. However, probably the CEO failed to follow the right ways to take his position in the organization. The CEO should develop a good relationship with the members of the company. However, the sexual allegation is gaining virality against him making them dissatisfied to obey for the post of the CEO. The members of the company might think he will not be comfortable for the position of CEO due to a shameful allegation against him. A lack of sense of responsibility is seen in his behaviour. Owing to the lack of compliance with the ethics to be followed in the workplace as well as being able to motivate other employees, by setting up a positive example of dedication and hard work, as exhibited by the analysis, it can be concluded that the current CEO is not functioning as a very efficient CEO and the company might benefit from hiring a new CEO.

Conclusion
Hence, it can be concluded in this core competencies assignment that contemporary management capability is very important for managing the organization. In the study, the ABCDE method has been used on behalf of the situational theory. The ABCDE methods have helped to demonstrate the core values of the allegation. Recommendations and core competencies of leadership have been introduced in the study. Based on recommendations and core competencies, an analysis has been elaborated. For further research, it will be recommended to follow effective theory or methods to evaluate a vivid description regarding the subject.
