Introduction
Globalization has made the world a closer space to do business and build relations. Effective business communication is very important in order to expand business in some other countries except the country of origin. BeautyPro is an organization that is based in Australia and distributes cosmetic products that are made of organic raw materials. The organization has opened up its branch in China and the organization is facing problems regarding intercultural communication. Effective intercultural communication is very important for companies that are multinational in nature (Scollon, Scollon & Jones, 2011). Multi-national organizations have employees coming from different cultures. The objective of this business communication assignment is to provide recommendations in order to encounter the challenges that are faced regarding intercultural communication. In this business communication assignment, different cultural norms that are followed in different cultures will be highlighted. Different cultural norms followed in different countries regarding decision-making

Different countries follow different cultural norms while making decisions in the organizational setup. The decision-making process in different cultures is different and this brings in challenges regarding effective business communication in various organizations. The different decision-making etiquette followed while making decisions in the Australian workplace are: Australian people very quickly get down to business and talk very less in the business organizations. They are very direct in their conversation in their approach and even expect the same from the other end (Khairullah & Khairullah, 2013). They understand brevity and are not impressed with detail at work. Negotiations are done quickly and in this country, bargaining is not customary. The Australians do not welcome high-pressure techniques. Decision-making happens at the top level of the company. However, the viewpoints of the employees are taken into consideration while arriving at a decision. This makes the decision-making process for the organization contracted and slow-paced (Rahim, 2017).

The focus of the German managers is more on productivity and the quality of the services and the goods. Maintaining good relationship with employees in the company is not the focus of the German Managers. The decision making process in the business organization is hierarchical and decisions are made at the top of the organization. This culture is unlike to the decision-making culture followed in Australia. The subordinates in the German organizations do not have a role to play in the decision making process. The relationship between the subordinates and the high-level officers is not that friendly (R. B. Tricker, & R.I Tricker, 2015). This creates a communication barrier between the employees and team leads working in the organization. Another field of comparison between the Australians and the German organizational culture is the people in Germany are detail-orientated and wants to understand every minute detail that goes into decision-making. Like the Chinese people, even the Germans do not believe in confrontation and they believe that confrontation leads to unproductively in the organization.

Researchers have concluded that countries like Slovenia, Hungary and Croatia have similarities in their decision-making process. There are even cultural similarities in the organizations present in the above-mentioned countries. The decision making process followed in the three countries is consultative in nature. The employees of the organization are asked about their viewpoints regarding a decision that needs to be implemented in the country (Pollack, 2015). Particularly in Slovenia, the decision making style is participative that is similar to that of Hungary and Croatia.

The French managers follow a different approach in the decision-making process that is followed in business organizations. The French managers spend a good amount of time on evaluating different measures that can be considered while taking decisions. This helps the managers to derive at rational decisions for the organization. The managers of the French organizations do consider the viewpoints of the employees in the organization while drafting effective decisions for the organization.
